December 2008 Volume 41 Issue 12

As we begin 2009, all of
us look back and ask
ourselves, should we or
could we have done
something different ?
How did that happen ?
How do we get back on
track?
Well I’m an optimist.
We need to fill that
“half glass of water”!
Positive thinking, yes—
and a SMILE and
How’re ya doing! It’s
really contagious. After

shopping one evening,
a friend, my sister and I
decided to stop for coffee
at our favorite spot.
The young waiter was
courteous but a little
down and tired, working
and going to school
too. When we finished,
we decided to leave a
$10 tip each, Yes for a
cup of coffee. He all
but hugged us– that’s
what he needed to buy
his next school book!
See Pay It Forward.

Country Club

December Presidents Perspective:

What a year we have just experienced. It always seems on an election year that things go a little crazy, but this time
it has been much more difficult. The credit crunch is stopping potential homeowners from getting a mortgage and
everyone asking for bail-outs. We need each other more than ever to stay on top of this thing called HVAC Contracting.
We need to watch each others backs. I have had a few contractors talk to me about unlicensed activity.
We are going to see a lot more as things get tougher. If you are interested in being on a committee about this
please let me know. This is something that we need to work on this coming year.
If you missed the Christmas Social this year you missed a fantastic time. The decorations at Timuquana Country
Club were as extravagant as ever and the food was delicious. Thank you to our Christmas Social committee and
our Committee Chairman Jim Mallory for keeping the fun and games exciting.
I would like to thank Judi, our executive secretary for all her hard work and dedication to NFACCA. It has been a
very tough year for Judi and she has done an exceptional job. Keep up the great work Judi.

I hope the New Year brings you success.
Ed Miller, President NFACCA
